Facebook Conversion API

The Facebook Pixel is a piece of code that you can add to your website or funnel which allows you to track user behavior and actions. With this data, you can create custom audiences, track conversions, and optimize your ads for more effective targeting.

With our new conversion API integration, you can send event data to Facebook via server-side notifications, bypassing the limitations of a user's browser and improving the reliability and accuracy of your data.

  • PageView - triggered on every page view

  • Lead - triggered on new lead - when a form is submitted, or an appointment is made

  • AddToCart - triggered when a product is added to the cart (passing the product title, price, currency, and quantity)

  • InitiateCheckout - triggered when someone initiates a checkout (i.e. visits a checkout page), passing the order total, currency, and the order items

  • Purchase - triggered when checkout (or an upsell / down-sell) is completed

  • ViewContent - triggered when a visitor visits a product in your store. The ViewContent event is especially useful for delivering personalized ads to your customers.

  • CompleteRegistration - triggered when a visitor creates an account on your website or funnel

If you have manually added the Facebook Pixel code to your website using the Custom Code Area, you will need to remove it before using the native integration.

This will not have any negative impact on your data on Facebook, as long as you enable the native integration.

How to connect your Facebook pixel

Navigate to Dashboard > Setting > Applications and the Facebook application:

To add your Facebook Pixel, go to the Facebook application and follow the instructions to add your conversions API access token.

The Facebook Conversions API, previously known as the Facebook Server-Side API, enables you to send critical web events or customer actions directly to Facebook servers without relying on the customer's browser.

It enhances the performance and measurement of your Facebook ad campaigns while eliminating the need for cookie-based tools.

Due to increasing privacy laws, it has become challenging to track browser events reliably because of ad-blockers and privacy settings, making it necessary to adapt to the changing environment.

The Conversions API can help you overcome these issues by providing essential information to improve your social media marketing campaigns.

It's recommended to enable the Facebook Conversions API.

To use the API, you need to enter an access token, which you can obtain by visiting your Facebook Pixel, accessing Settings, and clicking "Get Started" or "Generate Access Token" under the Conversions API area. Then copy the generated token and paste it into your website settings.

After adding the Facebook pixel, you will see a product feed URL that can be used to create Facebook and Instagram shops directly from your eCommerce store inventory.

Great! Your Facebook Pixel is now set up and events will be automatically reported from now on.

Just keep in mind that it may take up to 20 minutes for events triggered on your website to show up in your pixel stats.

Don't forget to regularly check your pixel stats and use the data to optimize your Facebook ad campaigns.
