This article will provide guidance on how to generate leads and sales for your business by creating, managing, and utilizing quizzes.
Start by going to the "Widgets" section and selecting the "Quiz/survey" widget.
Let's first explore the styling elements of your quiz before we dive into how to build it. Styling is the process of customizing the look and feel of your quiz.
You can choose different colors, fonts, and other design elements to create the style that you want.
It's similar to styling a regular form, so the process will be familiar if you've done that before.
In the settings tab, the features for your quiz are similar to those you would use to set up a regular form. However, there are a few differences. You have the option to:
Auto advance to the next question without the user clicking a "next" button.
Show progress bars and tabs to help the user keep track of their progress in the quiz.
Show a back button that allows the user to go back to the previous question if they need to.
Let's go over each of these features in more detail below.
The "Auto Advance" option allows the user to automatically move to the next step within your quiz without clicking a "Next" button.
For instance, if you have multiple questions or options being displayed, when the user selects an option, they will automatically advance to the next step in your quiz flow.
This feature saves time and makes the quiz more user-friendly.
The "Progress Bars and Tabs" feature is optional and displays a visual element to the user, indicating the quiz's progress and the current step they are on.
Progress bars and tabs are useful for long quizzes that require several steps to complete.
They give users an idea of how far they've come and how much is left, which can motivate them to finish the quiz.
The "Quiz Fields" section is where you add all of the information for your quiz, including questions, images, and other content.
This is the core part of your quiz, and it's where you'll spend most of your time creating and editing the quiz content.
To start editing your quiz questions, you can select the "Edit Fields" tab. This is where you can add, modify, or delete quiz questions and their associated answer options.
Editing your quiz questions is an essential step in creating a useful and engaging quiz for your audience.
The image above displays the actual quiz field editor, where you can input all your quiz information, such as text and images.
To edit your quiz questions, you can select the "Settings" button, as shown below.
This will bring up a new pop-up window where you can modify various settings related to your quiz questions, including the question text, answer options, correct answers, and more.
Most of the settings options for your quiz are related to styling and display, so they depend on your preferences for how you want your quiz to look and feel.
However, there are a few settings that are particularly important for the functionality of your quiz:
"Can Select Multiple Options": This setting determines whether the user can select multiple answers to a single question. If you have more than one question or option that you want the user to select, then this is considered a multiple option.
"Map to CRM Property": This is an optional, but important step if you want to collect and save user data for use later in your marketing strategy. For example, you can save a user's answer and send it via email or display it on the next page. This is particularly useful for website personalization.
"Required Field": This setting determines whether a question is required for the user to answer in order to move on to the next step. If you mark a question as a "Required Field," the user won't be able to move on to the next step without providing an answer.
The "Required Field" option is straightforward; it means that a user must select an option before they can continue with the quiz.
You can add multiple questions per step in your quiz, and each question has a corresponding answer with a value.
We will cover this shortly, but let's first take a look at the quiz question settings.
Next to each question, there is a small gear icon labeled "Settings," as shown below.
When you select the "Settings" icon, a new window will appear. This window contains several options, including:
"Add an Image": You can add an image to your quiz question to make it more visually appealing. For example, in a branding quiz, you could display four different images and ask the user which design they like best.
"Show Additional Information": This option allows you to provide additional information or context to the user, such as a brief explanation of the question.
"Skip to Another Step": You can allow the user to skip a question and move on to the next step without answering it. This can be useful if the user is unsure about the answer or if the question isn't relevant to them.
"Add a Tag": You can add a tag to your quiz question to help categorize and organize your quiz questions.
Using images in your quiz is entirely up to your design preferences. Some users may choose to display only images, while others may prefer a combination of images and text to create a more engaging quiz.
"Show Additional Information": This feature allows you to display extra information about a question.
If you want to provide more context or explanation for a certain question, you can add it here.
The additional information will be displayed as an icon that the user can click on to view the extra content, as shown below.
This can be helpful for providing users with more detailed information or further instructions about a question.
"Skip to Another Step": This feature allows your users to skip to another part of your quiz if they want to.
This is also known as "jumping" to another step. You can specify where you want the user to go once they've selected an answer, even if it's several steps ahead.
This feature can be helpful if the user has already answered similar questions and doesn't want to repeat them.
You can also use it to skip to the end of the quiz if the user isn't interested in completing it fully.
"Add a Tag": You can assign tags to users as they take the quiz, which can help with segmentation and triggering automations or email campaigns. Each question can have its own tag assigned if necessary. This feature allows you to better understand your audience and personalize your marketing efforts accordingly.
"Quiz Scoring": Quizzes are designed to help you generate leads and drive users towards recommended products and other desired actions.
The scoring element of a quiz helps you to provide the appropriate outcome to the user based on their answers.
By using the scoring system, you can personalize the user's experience and provide tailored recommendations that are specific to their interests and preferences.
This, in turn, can lead to increased engagement and conversions for your business.
Each quiz question or option can be assigned a score, which is used to calculate the user's final score at the end of the quiz.
Each quiz you create will have its own outcome, which is based on the user's final score.
For example, let's say you have a branding quiz that asks a series of questions about branding.
At the end of the quiz, the user's total score will be calculated based on the scores of each question they answered.
If the user's total score is 30, you can direct them to a downloadable guidebook to help with branding.
If they score 50, they may understand branding a little better, but still need more assistance, so you can direct them to register for a free course.
If the user scores 80, they may have a significant understanding of branding and want to take it to another level, so you can direct them to a paid service that will help them further.
The scoring system is designed to help you personalize the user's experience and provide tailored recommendations based on their quiz responses.
Once you have mapped out your scoring strategy for the quiz, the next step is to manage where you want to direct the user once the quiz is complete.
This could include a range of options, such as providing them with recommendations, sending them to a specific landing page, or directing them to register for a course or service.
Our scoring system is a powerful tool that can help you personalize the user's experience and provide tailored recommendations based on their quiz responses, so it's important to think carefully about how you want to use this information to drive conversions and engagement.
Now that you have mapped out your scoring strategy, you can insert your scoring in the "Score Management" tab.
Simply add the score result and choose whether you want to send the user a quick thank-you message containing their result, or direct them to a specific page, funnel step, or even a checkout with a recommended product based on their quiz answers.
The score management tab is an essential tool that allows you to manage the user's experience and drive conversions based on their quiz responses.
By using this feature, you can create a seamless and personalized user experience that is tailored to each individual's interests and preferences.
Pop-up quizzes can be a great way to engage visitors and capture leads, as they provide an interactive and personalized experience.
By using quizzes in pop-ups, you can increase the chances of users completing the quiz and taking the desired action, such as making a purchase or registering for a course.
Additionally, pop-up quizzes can be easily integrated into your website or landing pages, making it simple to implement this strategy into your overall marketing plan.
