The countdown timer is a versatile tool that can add real-time urgency to your promotions and offers.
It can be used for more than just ticking away time.
Our timers can be customized to automatically switch pages when an offer expires, display different messages based on the time remaining, and more.
To edit the countdown timer, select the "Edit" tab which will open a new window. This window has three option tabs:
When counter ends
Select time
Countdown type
Count to date: This option allows you to add a specific end time to your countdown timer, which is useful for limited-time offers or promotions. Simply select the date and time you want the countdown to end, and the timer will automatically count down to that point.
Count time: This option works similarly to "count to date", but instead of a specific date and time, it counts down a predetermined amount of time. For example, you can set the timer to show how much time is left until a sale ends in 24 hours. You can choose to reset the timer when a user revisits the page, or keep it counting down continuously even if the user returns later.
The Count Number option enables you to set a starting and ending number, with the interval of change also set by you. This option is perfect for countdowns related to limited stock or limited availability of a particular product or service.i
Once you set the timer using one of the available options, you can choose what action to take when the timer reaches zero (or the count number is reached).
You have three options: do nothing, go to a page/popup, or show a message.
Each option has its own strategy.
For instance, if you have a promotional offer that ends next week at midday, you can choose to show a waitlist page to those who missed the offer.
This is a great way to build a list of potential customers for future promotions.
Alternatively, you can send an automated email that still sells them the product/service, but maybe with a different offer or no offer at all.
